This section sets forth the Context in which transformation change leadership unfolds, and is set out in two subsections: Movements and Innovations.
Transformational change leadership is exhibited most often in the context of particular movements, social causes, and systemic issues (Movements). In order to have a fuller understanding of the impact of this kind of leadership, we need to have an understanding of underlying global issues that both trigger and require it.
We also need to understand the tools and constructs (Innovations) that leaders use to move communities from one state to another – more positive – one.
