This section lays out the process by which transformational change leadership unfolds, and is set out in two subsections: Characteristics and Stories.
The TCL framework views leadership as a process or a practice, made up of a series of choices, decisions, and actions grounded in a set of shared values (Characteristics) that lead to transformational change.
The best way to understand this is through the stories of organizations and people who exercise this kind of shared, collective leadership (Stories). The stories capture moments in time in the evolution of their leadership, but most of the efforts we describe are still in progress, and we have tried to anticipate what challenges, opportunities and applied learning are ahead of them, here and in the Future section of this site.
